The project is, to create a truck entirely dedicated on reporting the weather and for the education of severe weather and hurricanes. From events outdoors of all kinds, to severe weather in the making. To make it capable of being able to go where no truck has gone before. Not a Storm Chase vehicle per se, but to be able to stream live and recorded weather events and reports with audio and video from any location at any time. To use in the education of the weather. Also to be able to offer it's capabilities to Emergency Management and non profits after a major disaster.
I came across this 1997 GMC Suburban K2500 4x4 a few years ago, and made the purchase.
I have traveled to New Orleans for the 2007 National Hurricane Conference, and the Florida Governor's Conference in Fort Lauderdale. Also, to Orlando for the 2006 and 2008 National Hurricane Conference, where I was presented with a Special Award for the work we do here at Hurricane Hollow Weather and the Barometer Bob Show in promoting awareness and preparedness education of severe weather and hurricanes. I hosted LIVE Barometer Bob Show's from different locations while at these locations during the conferences. Also, I have traveled twice to New York City in 2008 to be at the NBC Studios and the Today Show in 2008. This vehicle will be used for many purposes like this also. At special events, school visits, conferences, and other educational purposes to expand the education of severe weather and hurricane awareness and preparedness.
What we are attempting to do is outfit this truck into a full time satellite truck with Internet, WiFi, audio/video production, and with full off road capabilities. To be able to perform the same products that we do from the studio at Hurricane Hollow Weather located in North Florida. But, being a mobile broadcast platform.
Your companies logo will be placed on the Hurricane Hollow Satellite Truck page with a hyperlink to your website and on the vehicle itself. Size and placement of your company logo is dependent on the amount of sponsorship your company offers.
What we can offer your company is exposure to millions of people year round, world wide. We can also offer audio commercials on our 24 hour a day 7 days a week internet radio broadcast, as well as placement during our live and recorded broadcasts.

This is a project that has been in the planning stages for a number of years. Now is the time to begin to build the very first Weather Satellite Truck that is entirely dedicated to reporting on all types of weather and educating the public of severe weather and hurricanes via the Internet websites here at Hurricane Hollow Weather, television and on location.
I have already begun to gather items to begin installing. I have tested streaming while sitting still and driving down the road, it is possible. We have seen a number of people in the weather community stream live video from their vehicles, now to make it a year round project here.
The truck is fully equipped to receive Local Affiliate Television access and we will be looking to add satellite television access. We currently have one television installed, and will be adding one more large screen in the rear to be able to view from outside the vehicle via the opening of the barn doors in the back of the truck. We will also be capable of streaming live or uploading audio/video reports while out in the field for affiliate and network television broadcasts. We will be able to do what we do Live from the Studio, and more.
